About The Instructor

Alfred Ross, the owner and lead instructor at Jean Percy School of Barbering in Cypress, Texas, brings over 30 years of experience to his role. After overcoming personal challenges, including past struggles with addiction, Ross established the school in 2023 as a means to share his knowledge and offer others a second chance. The school is named in honor of his mother and mother-in-law, both educators, reflecting his commitment to teaching and mentorship. 

 

Ross emphasizes a comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond traditional barbering techniques. Students receive instruction in financial literacy, marketing, and real-world experience, preparing them not just as barbers but as entrepreneurs. His teaching style is characterized by personalized attention, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
